This week I have been framing some pieces in preparation to enter art fairs for the summer. After securing the works in their frames, I am quite pleased with the lovely result. The gold makes a beautiful backdrop for the paintings to be set in, like jewels.

On another note, I built a piece if furniture today, which is definitely a first! With the help of a small screwdriver, this chair came into being. It was actually very similar to making a piece if art: the planning, construction and completion. It was a lot if fun and I have a newfound appreciation for craftspeople and woodworkers. It was satisfying to put something together that can be used everyday.
